Anonymous asked: what do you and your followers think about using wax? i am getting mixed messages and want to start my dreads the best way

i think wax is gross, useless, just a way to make money and is awful for your dreads.

how about you, followers?

hymnofthanatos asked: My dreads are 3 months old. Something that bothers me A LOT, is that I only have 16 dreads and they dont cover the back of my head, my hair was reaally long when I made them btw :( I wanted a lot more dreads... Is there a solution? Sorry if you don't like to give advice but I dont know where else to ask... Your blog is awesome!

well, first of all is your hair thin or do you have a good amount of hair? if you have rather thick hair, as much as you’re going to hate to hear this, the best thing to do would be comb them out and start again and split most of them in two. i have really really thin hair and i have 30-something dreads. so if my hair can be this full, i’m sure yours can too c: and thank you!

Anonymous asked: what do i do for loops theyre getting crazy. my dreads are 6 months old.

ooooh. yep you’re probably getting a ridiculous amount of loops right now. you’re dreads are really young and it’s just caused from uneven dreading. palm rolling will help a ton, especially when wet! they should start to settle down around 8 months - a year, depending on your hair type c:
